Dr. Sabine M. Schmitt

Dr. Sabine M. Schmitt completed her medical school degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1984 and completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of California at Irvine in 1988. Dr. Schmitt held the position of Clinical Program Coordinator for the Department of Pediatrics, North Orange County Community Clinic, Anaheim, California(an Affiliate Clinic of the University of California at Irvine) prior to moving back to the East Coast. She continues to be a faculty member of the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation (a foundation within the American Osteopathic Association). Dr. Schmitt is board certified in Pediatrics as well as Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She founded Long Pond Pediatrics and Osteopathy, P.C. in 1993.

Prior to founding Long Pond Pediatrics and Osteopathy, P.C., Dr. Schmitt practiced pediatric medicine at both large managed care facilities and private practice. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, innovative health care for her patients and their families. The belief that patients and families deserve to receive care and information needed to complete their visit in a compassionate, kind and familiar way has been part of the practice philosophy since the beginning. Dr. Schmitt has been a champion to her patients and their families since beginning her medical career.

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine is based on the scientific principal that the body is an integrated self-regulating and self-healing mechanism. Dr. Schmitt has incorporated this methodology into her practice as well as the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Schmitt is accepting new patients of all ages.
